A small figure or weapons trophy may appear at her feet, alluding to the subjugation of Rome's enemies as a precondition for peace. The legend is divided across the field, with TR P COS II to the left and P P to the right, rendered in crisp capital letters. The reverse field is relatively open, lending clarity to the allegorical figure. The dotted border on the right side of the flan is consistent with the beaded border standard on Roman Imperial denarii of this era. |
