She holds an olive branch extended forward in her right hand and a sceptre or cornucopiae in her left. The figure is robed in flowing drapery consistent with Trajanic reverse iconography. The circular legend S P Q R OPTIMO PRINCIPI is distributed around the field, dedicating the coin to Trajan as the best of princes on behalf of the Senate and Roman people. |
