背面描述 The personification of Providentia (Divine Foresight) stands draped in full length, facing left in a composed contrapposto stance. Her extended right hand points downward toward a large celestial globe resting on the ground to her left, symbolizing her dominion over fate and the cosmos, while her left hand grasps a long vertical sceptre, her left elbow resting upon a short column. The reverse legend P M TR P COS VI P P S P Q R is distributed around the field, with PROVID in the exergue or lower reverse field, all in crisp Latin capitals.

附加信息

Trajan received the title Parthicus in 116 AD following his capture of Ctesiphon and the Parthian capital, yet this piece — sharing the same reverse type and tribunician dating as the Parthico issues — was struck without that honorific. The omission almost certainly places production before the formal award, situating these coins in the early Parthian campaign period when Roman armies were advancing through Mesopotamia but the title had not yet been ratified by the Senate.

RIC II 364 var. acknowledges the type without fully resolving the die relationship to the titled parallels.
