Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, rendered in fine high-relief portraiture characteristic of the Trajanic period. The emperor's effigy displays a laureate wreath, with drapery visible on the left shoulder, presenting a dignified and authoritative imperial profile. The encircling obverse legend runs along the outer field in crisp Latin capitals. The portrait exhibits the naturalistic yet idealized sculptural style prevalent in Roman Imperial coinage of the early second century AD.
