Reverse description Venus, goddess of love and beauty, depicted standing facing right in a contrapposto stance, her figure semi-draped with drapery gathered about the lower body. She leans gracefully upon a column to her right, holding a helmet in her extended right hand and a spear in her left. The composition evokes the Venus Victrix typology, alluding to Roman martial victory under divine patronage. The reverse legend encircles the field, recording Titus's tribunician, acclamatory, and consular titles. The style is characteristic of the Rome mint under the Flavian dynasty.
