Reverse description Venus stands in the field facing left, rendered semi-draped with drapery gathered at the lower body, her upper torso exposed. She holds a helmet in her extended right hand and rests her left hand upon a grounded spear or sceptre, with a shield propped at her side — a type evoking Venus Victrix. The surrounding legend TR P VIIII IMP XIIII COS VII P P is distributed around the periphery in Latin capitals. The composition is consistent with RIC II.1, 35, struck at the Rome Mint in AD 79 during Titus's sole reign.
