Reverse description A trophy composed of captured arms and armour stands centrally in the field, flanked by two seated captives — one on each side — rendered in submissive postures with their backs to the trophy, symbolising Roman victory over Judaea. The captives are depicted in a naturalistic style consistent with Flavian commemorative imagery referencing the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70. The reverse legend TR P IX IMP XV COS VIII P P encircles the composition in Latin capitals along the border. The scene recalls similar Judaean captive imagery found on Flavian coins and the Arch of Titus in Rome.
