Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Titus as Caesar facing right, rendered in high relief with finely engraved hair beneath the laurel wreath. The portrait displays the characteristic physiognomy of the Flavian dynasty, with a broad forehead and strong jaw. The encircling Latin legend reads T CAESAR IMP VESP, identifying the subject as Titus Caesar Imperator Vespasianus, and runs from the lower left around the upper field to the lower right. The flan is irregular in shape, as typical of hand-struck Roman Imperial coinage of this period.
