Reverse description A curule chair (sella curulis) depicted frontally in the center of the field, rendered with crossed legs in the distinctive X-form; above it rests a wreath, and flanking it on either side are a corn-ear to the left and a tablet (tessera) to the right, emblematic of the aedilician office and its responsibilities over grain supply and public games. The legend AE CVR is inscribed in the left field and P•GALB in the lower exergual area, identifying the issuing magistrate as Publius Sulpicius Galba in his capacity as Curule Aedile. A beaded border surrounds the entire composition.
