Reverse description Europa, draped, is depicted seated upon a bull charging to the left, her veil billowing dramatically over her head in a sweeping arc, held aloft by both hands. The bull turns its head to face the viewer frontally, a distinctive artistic detail adding dynamism to the composition. A winged thunderbolt appears in the upper field behind the group, and an ivy leaf is placed below the bull. The moneyer's signature appears in the exergue, rendered with VL in monogram and TR and AB ligatured. The design is enclosed by a border of dots.
