Reverse description The legend S·P·Q·R is inscribed in two lines within a finely rendered civic oak-wreath (corona civica), the wreath tied at the base with a crescent-shaped lunula. A pellet within a circle appears at the apex of the wreath. The oak leaves and berries are depicted with careful naturalistic detail, and the entire design is contained within the wreath with no exergual line, a composition typical of the anonymous civil-war coinage of AD 68–69.
