Obverse description Diademed and draped bust of King Ptolemy of Mauretania facing right, his curly hair rendered in fine detail beneath a broad diadem. A Neo-Punic legend surrounds the effigy in the field, reading from upper left around to the lower right. The portrait reflects Hellenistic artistic conventions combined with local Mauretanian royal imagery.

Reverse description A tall, beaded grain ear with prominent awns depicted centrally in the field, enclosed within a laurel wreath tied at the base.
