Obverse description Draped bust of Proserpina facing right, her hair elaborately dressed and adorned with poppy-heads, evoking her chthonic associations. A control symbol appears in the field behind the bust. The flan is struck in the characteristic hammered fabric of the late Roman Republic, with a border of dots framing the design. The obverse carries no legend (anepigraphic), the bust serving as the sole decorative element.
