| Opis rewersu | A crescent, open upward, occupies the centre of the reverse field, surrounded by six stars arranged within the arc of the crescent and in the field above. The Latin legend SAECVLI FELICITAS curves around the upper periphery of the coin, referencing the promised prosperity of Niger's reign. The design is a well-known eastern iconographic type associated with celestial symbolism and imperial ideology. The strike is slightly uneven, consistent with the irregular flans produced at the Antioch mint during the civil war period of 193–194 AD. |
