The emperor's effigy is depicted with characteristic layered drapery over the left shoulder. The encircling obverse legend reads IMP CAES C PESCEN NIGER IVSTI A, distributed around the periphery of the flan. The coin exhibits a pronounced perforation (mount hole) to the right of the bust, indicating post-antique use as a pendant or amulet. The strike is somewhat weak with areas of flat relief consistent with the irregular flan typical of the Antioch mint under this usurper. |
