Otho ruled for just 91 days before his suicide at Brixellum in April 69 AD, making his coinage among the briefest imperial issues of the first century. The civil war that consumed his reign — fought against Vitellius's legions advancing from the Rhine — is almost certainly why so few of his coins reached wide circulation. Most were struck in Rome during a window of perhaps two months of actual minting activity.
RIC I 4 is one of the more frequently encountered of his types, though "frequently" is relative for a 91-day reign.
