Reverse description The personification of Iustitia (Justice) is depicted seated left on a throne or chair, draped in flowing robes. She raises her right arm, extending it upward, while her left hand rests near a long vertical sceptre or patera staff grounded at her side. The figure is rendered in a serene, classicising style consistent with Nervan allegorical reverse types. The legend IVSTITIA AVGVST is distributed around the periphery, with IVSTITIA to the left and AVGVST to the upper right of the field. The reverse type reflects Nerva's programmatic emphasis on justice and civic virtue as hallmarks of his reign.
