| Description du revers | Standing figure of Libertas, the personification of Liberty, depicted facing left in full length. She holds a pileus (freedman's cap) in her extended right hand and a long sceptre or hasta in her left hand, the latter resting at an angle against her body. She is rendered in a flowing stola, with fine drapery folds visible in the strike. The reverse legend is distributed around the field, referencing Nerva's imperial and consular titles. The type alludes to Nerva's early proclamations of restored civic freedom following the reign of Domitian. |
