| Beschrijving keerzijde | Four priestly insignia of the pontifical college arranged horizontally across the field: at left, a simpulum (ladle used in libations); next, an aspergillum (sprinkler for ritual purification); at centre, an urceus (ewer or jug for sacred liquids); and at right, a lituus (curved augural staff). These symbols collectively evoke Nerva's role as Pontifex Maximus and his claim to sacral authority. The devices are rendered in clear, well-spaced relief against a smooth field.
