| Descrizione del rovescio | A quadriga of elephants processing to the left, drawing a ceremonial car upon which are mounted two curule chairs (sellae curules), each occupied by a radiate, deified figure representing Divus Claudius and Divus Augustus respectively. The elephants, symbols of imperial triumph and divinity, are rendered in procession, evoking the pompa circensis. The legend surrounding the scene references Agrippina Augusta and the senatorial decree authorizing the issue, with the abbreviated EX S C denoting senatorial authority. |
