Obverse description Bare head of Marcus Antonius facing right, rendered in bold relief with characteristically strong features. The portrait is accompanied by a legend before and behind the effigy identifying the imperator. The field is plain, and the design is framed by a border of dots along the periphery. The style is consistent with the vigorous, somewhat irregular engraving characteristic of moving military mint issues of this period.
