Obverse description A praetorian galley depicted in profile sailing to the right, with oars extended below and a decorated prow surmounted by an aquila standard; a sceptre tied with a fillet is visible at the prow. The legend ANT·AVG arcs above the vessel in the upper field, while III·VIR·R·P·C runs along the lower field beneath the hull. The design is executed in the characteristic bold, somewhat rough style of Mark Antony's military mint coinage, surrounded by a border of dots.
