Reverse description A quadriga driven at full gallop to the left, with a draped figure standing in the chariot holding the reins; the horses are rendered in vigorous, dynamic style with hooves raised. Below the exergual line, the moneyer's legend is inscribed in two lines: LICINIVS L F above MACER. The composition fills the flan with considerable artistic energy, and a beaded border frames the design along the upper periphery.
