Reverse description A ram standing to the right in high relief, rendered with careful attention to the animal's woolly fleece depicted through layered, stylised curls across the body. The ram stands on a straight ground line that divides the field from the exergue below. The moneyer's legend L·RVSTI appears in the exergue beneath the ground line in clear Latin capitals, identifying the issuing magistrate L. Rustius. A border of dots encircles the entire design, and the flan shows the characteristic irregular edges typical of late Republican hand-struck coinage.
