Obverse description Helmeted bust of Roma facing left, wearing a crested Corinthian helmet and draped in a paludamentum, rendered in high relief characteristic of the Year of the Four Emperors coinage. The portrait is executed in a bold, somewhat archaic style with strong facial features. The peripheral legend ROMA RESTITVTA curves around the bust, proclaiming the restoration of Rome. The flan is irregularly shaped, consistent with hand-hammered production of the period.
