| Opis rewersu | A small winged Victory, rendered in dynamic profile, stands erect within a fast-moving quadriga galloping to the right; she holds the reins with both hands while the four horses are depicted with legs fully extended in a vigorous gallop. The encircling legend occupies the upper and lower fields, with L RVBRI appearing in the exergue. The composition faithfully reproduces the original late-Republican denarius type of the moneyer Lucius Rubrius Dossenus, here restruck under Trajan as part of his celebrated restitution coinage. A beaded border surrounds the design. |
