Reverse description Hercules depicted nude, standing facing front in a contrapposto stance, his weight shifted to one side. He rests his right hand upon a tall club planted on the ground to his right, while his left arm carries the Nemean lion's skin draped over it. The figure is rendered with muscular anatomical detail in the Hellenistic tradition. A circular Latin legend surrounds the type, filling the field around the standing deity. The coin belongs to Trajan's restitution series, reproducing earlier Republican and imperatorial types.
