| Beschrijving voorzijde | Veiled and helmeted head of Julius Caesar facing right, rendered in a barbarous imitative style characteristic of Dacian coinage. The helmet features a pronounced crest with visible plume detail, and the facial features are boldly but crudely executed. A dotted border surrounds the type. The legend CAESAR DICT PERPETVO is distributed around the effigy, partially retrograde or distorted as typical of Dacian imitative issues. The overall composition closely follows the original Roman prototype struck by P. Sepullius Macer in 44 BC. |
