The moneyer's name M•HERENNI appears in the exergue or field, with the HE letters ligatured as a monogram. A control-letter appears in the right field, varying by issue (RRC 308/1a or 308/1b). The composition conveys movement and filial devotion in the characteristically bold relief of late Republican denarius coinage. |
