| Obverse description | Bare-headed, draped bust of Hadrian facing right, the emperor depicted with his characteristic short curly hair and close-cropped beard, rendered in the refined Hellenistic portrait style favoured during his reign. The paludamentum is fastened at the right shoulder, with drapery visible across the chest and left shoulder. The circumferential Latin legend runs clockwise around the portrait within a beaded border. |
