| Beschrijving keerzijde | The personification of Pietas depicted as a veiled female figure standing left, her right arm raised with the hand extended in a gesture of adoration or supplication, her left arm held at her side draped in flowing robes. The figure stands on a ground line and is rendered in high relief with well-articulated drapery folds characteristic of early Hadrianic die work. The field inscription PIETAS appears divided on either side of the central figure in bold Latin capitals, while the fuller imperial titulature legend runs continuously around the circumference of the reverse field. |
