| Beschrijving keerzijde | The goddess Pax stands in full figure facing left, robed in a long stola and palla in the classical allegorical tradition. She extends her right hand forward holding an olive branch, symbol of peace and reconciliation, while her left arm cradles a cornucopia, emblematic of abundance and prosperity. The figure is rendered with fine drapery folds in the hammered style, occupying the central field. The reverse legend, distributed around the periphery of the flan, identifies the emperor's titles and closes with the legend PAX naming the personification. The exergue is plain. |
