| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, viewed from the front, rendered in the mature Hadrianic portrait style with characteristic beard. The effigy displays paludamentum over cuirass, with visible drapery folds over the left shoulder. The obverse legend runs clockwise around the periphery of the flan. The portrait exhibits the strong naturalistic modeling typical of Roman imperial coinage of the early second century AD. |

The figure occupies the central field, with the reverse legend divided between the upper periphery and the flanking field on either side of the central type. The composition exemplifies the Hadrianic allegorical reverse program celebrating imperial virtues and the joy of the Roman people. |
