| Reverse description | The personification of Aequitas-Moneta stands in full figure, facing left, clad in a long flowing chiton and himation. She extends a balance (scales) in her right hand toward the left, and holds a cornucopia in her left arm, attributes combining the iconography of Aequitas (fairness) and Moneta (the mint). The figure is rendered with careful drapery detail typical of the Hadrianic classicizing style, occupying the central field. The reverse legend is distributed around the periphery in crisp Latin capitals. |
