| Beschrijving keerzijde | The personification of Concordia is depicted seated left upon a throne, her right hand extending a patera and her left arm resting upon a figure of Spes (Hope). A cornucopia appears beneath the throne, serving as an additional emblem of abundance and prosperity. The reverse legend, distributed around the field in Latin capitals, references Hadrian's tribunician power and his designation as consul for the second time, with CONCORD identifying the seated deity. The composition reflects the propagandistic intent of early Hadrianic coinage to emphasise harmony and the continuity of imperial rule. |
