| Descrizione del dritto | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, the paludamentum fastened at the shoulder and visible at the truncation, rendered with finely detailed curling hair and short beard characteristic of Hadrianic portraiture. The effigy is presented in high relief with naturalistic modelling of the facial features. The surrounding legend is inscribed in Latin along the beaded border, reading HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P. The overall style reflects the accomplished engraving of the Rome mint during the mature Hadrianic period. |

A rabbit, the emblematic animal of the Iberian Peninsula, is depicted at her feet to the left or right, serving as a geographic attribute identifying the province. The reverse legend HISPANIA appears in the field, identifying the allegorical figure. The composition belongs to Hadrian's celebrated series of provincial coins struck to commemorate his tours of the Roman Empire. |
