Obverse description Bare-necked, laureate bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered with fine detail including a short curly beard characteristic of Hadrian's portraiture, the laurel wreath tied with a ribbon whose ends fall behind the neck. The effigy displays strong, idealized facial features with a prominent brow and aquiline nose. The surrounding legend is inscribed in Latin along the border of the flan, with a beaded inner border visible on well-preserved examples.
