| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bare-headed and laureate bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered with characteristic short-cropped hair and full beard — the latter a Hellenizing innovation that distinguished Hadrian from his clean-shaven predecessors. The portrait is executed in a naturalistic, high-relief style typical of the Hadrianic renaissance. The surrounding Latin legend reads HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS, running clockwise around the periphery of the flan.
