Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Galba facing right, with a globe positioned at the base of the neck truncation. The portrait is rendered in the characteristic late Republican–early Imperial hammered style, with boldly defined facial features and a wreath of laurel leaves across the brow. The encircling Latin legend runs around the periphery of the flan. The overall strike is typical of the transitional coinage produced during Galba's brief reign.
