Obverse description Bare-necked laureate bust of Emperor Galba facing right, rendered in high relief with naturalistic, aged facial features characteristic of Flavian-era portraiture. The emperor is depicted without drapery, with a strong jaw and wrinkled brow conveying authority and gravitas. The encircling legend is incuse in Latin characters, distributed around the periphery of the flan.
