| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate head of Emperor Galba facing right, rendered in the austere, aged portraiture characteristic of his brief reign. The facial features display the elderly emperor's prominent jaw and strong profile. The surrounding legend is disposed circularly around the obverse field, partially visible on this struck example. The flan is slightly irregular, as is typical of hand-struck silver coinage of the period. |
