| 表面の説明 | Bare-headed, laureate bust of Galba facing right, rendered in high relief with characteristic aged features including a pronounced chin and furrowed brow. The effigy is depicted with a draped shoulder, and a small globe is placed at the point of the neck truncation, symbolising imperial dominion over the world. The legend encircles the bust in the field, reading GALBA IMP, identifying the emperor by name and his title of Imperator. The style is typical of the Spanish mint issues of AD 68–69, with bold, somewhat provincial engraving characteristic of the early Galban coinage. |

| 裏面の説明 | The personification of Hispania stands facing right in full figure, draped in provincial attire, her posture conveying dignified allegiance to the new emperor. In her right hand she holds corn-ears and a poppy, emblematic of the province's agricultural fertility, while her left arm bears a large round shield and two military spears, referencing the martial character of the Iberian provinces. The figure occupies the full reverse field, with the single-word legend HISPANIA inscribed in the exergue or field, directly identifying the personified province. This type was deliberately chosen by Galba to honour the loyalty of Hispania, the region from which his successful revolt against Nero was launched. |
