Obverse description Laureate head of Domitian facing right, with short curly hair and a ribbon tied at the nape. The portrait is rendered in a robust, high-relief style characteristic of early Flavian imperial coinage. The bust is bare, presenting a strong profile with a prominent nose and chin. The circular legend surrounds the effigy, reading IMP CAES DOMITIANVS AVG P M, distributed evenly around the coin's periphery. The fields are smooth and the die work reflects the accomplished engraving style of the Rome Mint in the early Domitianic period.
