Obverse description Laureate head of Domitian facing right, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the hair and laurel wreath. The portrait exhibits the characteristic Flavian physiognomy, with a strong jaw and aquiline profile. The circular legend surrounds the effigy, reading from the lower left around the field in capital Latin letters. The die-work is typical of the Rome mint under the early Flavian dynasty, with competent but slightly irregular letterspacing.
