Reverse description A curule chair (sella curulis) depicted in three-quarter perspective, draped with a richly folded cloth that hangs between its ornate scroll-ended legs. Resting upon the seat is a Macedonian-style crested helmet, with a serpent rising prominently behind it to the left. The composition is a classic representation of military and civic authority associated with the title Princeps Iuventutis. The circumferential legend PRINCEPS IVVENTVTIS is distributed around the upper and right portion of the flan in bold raised Latin capitals, with the field otherwise unadorned.
