The finely rendered laurel wreath sits prominently upon the head, with the neck truncation visible at the coin's lower field. A beaded border encircles the design. The circumferential legend reads CAES AVG F DOMIT COS III, identifying Domitian as Caesar and son of Augustus, serving his third consulship.
