Obverse description Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Domitian as Caesar facing right, rendered with youthful features characteristic of early Flavian portraiture. The cuirass is detailed with articulated pteryges visible at the shoulder, and the paludamentum is fastened and draped over the left shoulder. The surrounding legend reads DOMITIANVS CAESAR AVG F, distributed around the field in incuse Latin capitals. The flan is slightly irregular, as is typical of hammered provincial and eastern mint issues of this period.
