| Beschrijving keerzijde | Standing figure of Minerva, goddess of wisdom and war, depicted facing left in full-length draped attire, holding an upright spear in her right hand and resting her left hand at her side. The goddess is rendered in a classicizing style typical of Flavian reverse iconography, a type employed repeatedly on Domitianic denarii as a reflection of the emperor's personal devotion to Minerva. The encircling Latin legend records Domitian's imperial titulature and is distributed around the periphery of the flan. The coin bears a pierced hole at the top, consistent with ancient or post-antique suspension use. |
