Obverse description Laureate bust of Domitian facing right, with drapery visible at the shoulder, rendered in the confident portrait style characteristic of Flavian imperial coinage. The emperor's features are boldly modeled, with a prominent brow and strong jaw typical of official Domitianic portraiture. The legend encircles the bust along the outer border of the coin field, beginning at the lower left and running clockwise. The flan exhibits the slightly irregular outline common to hammered Roman silver of this period.
