Obverse description Laureate head of Domitian facing right, with short curly hair and a pronounced profile, rendered in high relief characteristic of Flavian portraiture. The neck is bare. A continuous Latin legend encircles the effigy, reading from the left: IMP CAES DOMIT AVG GERM P M TR P VIII. The portrait displays the confident, naturalistic style typical of the Rome mint under Domitian, with fine die-cutting evident in the facial features.
